Over the past few decades, the Asia-Pacific region has seen rapid economic growth, a huge increase in energy demand and intense urbanisation. These factors have contributed to environmental stress and caused people to rely heavily on costly fossil fuel and traditional biomass, which is particularly polluting. The development of renewable energy solutions was therefore a logical response in a region that is naturally well-endowed with renewable resources and in which the relative cost of renewable electricity is becoming ever more competitive. Furthermore, the region is home to a high density of potential customers.
In order to address each country’s specific challenges and opportunities, Total Eren has created custom development strategies for each country. To coordinate its activities as well as its various partnerships with local developers across the region, Total Eren opened its regional office in 2015 in Singapore, EREN Development Asia, and has teams based in Australia, in Cambodia, in Indonesia, in South Korea, and in the Philippines.
