Eren do Brasil is the Brazilian subsidiary of Total Eren. Convinced of the huge potential of renewable energies in Brazil, Total Eren set up a local subsidiary in São Paulo in 2013. Today, the teams at Eren do Brasil are made up of 37 French and Brazilian employees who have extensive experience in renewable energy.
Since 2013, Eren do Brasil has acquired in-depth knowledge of the Brazilian market by working successively on distributed solar power generation, energy storage and large-scale solar power and wind farms. At the beginning of 2017, Eren do Brasil launched the construction of BJL 11, a 25MWp solar power plant in Bom Jesus de Lapa, in the state of Bahia. A year later, in January 2018, Eren do Brasil began a 25MWp extension project called BJL 4.
2018 was a key year in Total Eren’s expansion as it made progress towards its goal of becoming a major renewable energy player in Brazil. BJL 11 and BJL 4 began operating in May and November 2018 respectively. In August 2019, the 90 MWp Dracena solar PV plant was commissioned. The BJL 11, BJL 4 and Dracena solar power plants all benefit from a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CCEE (Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica) in Brazil. In Ocotber and November 2019, Total Eren launched the construction of two wind farms in the States of Rio Grande do Norte: Terra Santa (92.3 MW) and Maral (67.5 MW) which will market their energy through 20-year corporate PPAs.
Today, Total Eren owns 300 MW in operation or under construction in Brazil.
