OUR RENEWABLE ACTIVITIES IN THAILAND

THAILAND: THE HOME OF RENEWABLE ENERGY AND WIND POWER IN THE REGION

In addition to being one of the most developed economies in the region, Thailand has implemented an innovative renewable energy policy. To reach its 30% renewable energy target by 2036 – including specific targets for wind and solar of 3.5 GW and 3 GW respectively – Thailand has introduced a comprehensive and stable regulatory framework.

In 2015, Total Eren partnered with The Blue Circle (TBC), a specialist developer with extensive experience in wind power project development and engineering in South-East Asia in order to strengthen its local presence. Since 2016, Total Eren has also worked in partnership with ITC, a Thai construction firm and telecoms equipment manufacturer that has moved into wind development. Based in Bangkok, ITC supports Total Eren with a range of activities, including identifying sites, acquiring land and obtaining permits.

Total Eren operates from its regional office in Singapore and has a portfolio of 500 MW of greenfield wind projects under development in partnership with TBC and ITC.
