In 2021, Total Eren acquired a 74 MWp solar PV plant MWp from Risen Energy, a Chinese developer specialising in R&D and the manufacture of solar panels. Currently in operation in the north-west of Cambodia, the solar plant produces approximately 115 GWh per year, sufficient to supply 180,000 people in Cambodia, while reducing CO2 emissions by more than 50,000 tonnes per year. This is one of the largest solar power plants in operation in the country, and is the largest in the Battambang region.
